After creating a digital product it’s a great idea to place a test order to see how everything is working from your customer’s view.
To make a test order are three main ways:
- Use Shopify’s bogus payment gateway.
- Set up a coupon discount code so you can ‘buy’ the product for free during testing.
- Set up a temporary test product for free and make your purchase in an incognito window.
Since you’re selling a digital product, you’ll need to disable shipping.
We’ve found that the easiest ways for most people is to set up a coupon or set up a temporary free digital product.
